Made in Chelsea star and fashion blogger Rosie Fortescue talks to PetsPyjamas about Christmas sweaters for canines, her favourite dog-friendly hangouts, and her adorable Dachshund Noodle (who answers a few questions herself).
What is your must-have wardrobe addition for you and Noodle, for autumn/winter?
I have just got a new Burberry trench coat with leather sleeves. For Noodle I love the new Holly & Lil range of collars and leads, and I also want to get her one of Lena Proudlock’s fabulous candy-coloured beanbags.
How did you get into fashion blogging?
I studied history of art at Goldsmith’s and my father is in the art world, but I’ve always wanted to get into the fashion industry and love blogging, so I set up my style blog At Fashion Forte.
How did your role on Made in Chelsea come about?
I was approached by the TV company with some of my friends. I did a pilot with Amber and Francis and then the show got commissioned. After that I introduced them to some of my other friends and the show progressed from there.
What are your favourite Chelsea hangouts, and which are dog-friendly?
I love Bluebird on the Kings Road. Quite often Noodle and I will have coffee outside. I also love the Bluebird
shop. Noodle is welcomed there too. The Love Bakery across the road is also incredibly dog-friendly.
Does Noodle like fashion?
Yes she loves it. She especially liked wearing the Love My Dog green sweater she modelled on the shoot, which I think would be a great Christmas present for her. She loves the Cath Kidston range too.
Who do you fancy from Made in Chelsea?
No one who is currently on the show!
How do you see your career developing?
Ideally I would like to collaborate with a fashion house or jewellery brand and see where that will take me.
Any off-screen secrets you can reveal?
No, the series is dramatic enough! I have no more secrets to reveal…
Interview questions for Noodle:
Did you enjoy the photo shoot?
I loved it, of course.
Do you enjoy dressing up?
Yes, I love dressing up for special occasions.
What was your favourite piece?
I loved the green Love My Dog sweater and the Mulberry sweater too.
Are you going to arrange a playdate soon with Rufus, the PetsPyjamas dog?
Yes, we are arranging a playdate at the Hurlingham club.
What are your plans for the Christmas holidays?
I will be staying at home this year with Rosie and the family.
Do you enjoy being on camera?
Yes, although sadly my scene on Made in Chelsea was cut!
What do you think of Rosie being on Made in Chelsea?
I think it’s great.
Do you read Rosie’s blog and do you have any plans to start a blog of your own?
Yes, I have plans to start my own blog.
