Fraisthorpe Beach is perfect for dog walking and horse riding and is popular with locals for exercising horses all year round. The village of Brandesburton is home to a couple of pubs offering traditional ales and bar meals, alongside a number of shops and restaurants. A short drive brings you to the pretty Wolds town of Beverley offering a host of independent shops, cafés and restaurants. A day at Beverley Races or a round of golf at one of the many local golf courses are sure to keep everyone entertained. The seaside town of Hornsea is on the doorstep and with pony rides, ice-cream and fish and chips is a lovely unspoilt family destination. Welcome to this beautiful four-bedroom detached house situated in a peaceful setting, nestled down a quiet little road. This hidden little gem has been extended and decorated to a very good spec to provide everything you need for your stay; it’s a modern house wrapped up in its characterful Cotswold cottage charm. Behind the house are the beautiful woods in which you can spend hours wandering around and breathing in the beautiful fresh air and stunning views, or even head off on the Cotswold Way.
Pop into the little village community shop for a cuppa and put your feet up for 5 minutes; this community-run shop has been running for twenty-plus years, by volunteers who will welcome you with open arms. The village pub is at the end of the road serving pizza and a pint for £10! Enjoy a long walk from the house to the famous Woolpack pub, a great friendly place serving food and drinks. This pub was recently discovered by Giles Coren as the pub with the most beautiful view, this is poet Laurie Lee’s favourite and most frequented pub and is still home to his walking stick. Another thing to note is the famous Saturday farmers market which is bursting with many delights, including Stroud Smokery and the delicious Pippins doughnuts (you’ll definitely get six!) or try a delicious falafel wrap from Funky Falafel.
It’s a stroll downhill to get there or there are regular buses from the end of the road. Location is everything! So, if you’re looking to explore, there is so much to do, Cheltenham for shops, restaurants and of course the races. Gloucester Cathedral for Harry Potter fans, Cirencester, Tetbury (full of antique shops), Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre and Westonbirt Arboretum are all great places for the family, whilst Bristol is just 30 minutes down the road. The list is endless, so the choice is yours!

On the left there’s a well-placed utility room, perfect for cleaning up after long days out exploring in the wilds. Quickly you discover the wow factor of the house, which is the vast amount of glass in the open plan living/dining/kitchen area. Views up the loch and across the water are truly sensational. It’s an amazing room making the most of the surroundings, and it’s finished to a fantastic high standard (like the whole house). To return to this room after days out on adventures is pure bliss.

Beyond the house the great wilderness awaits. An Teallach is a fantastic Munro and with it being so close it deserves an attempt or two during your holiday. Ullapool and Assynt beyond are not far away, and to the south the coastal villages of Aultbea, Poolewe and Gairloch with numerous sandy beaches to choose from await. This historic, spacious, terraced, 500-year-old former church house sits peacefully beside the village green and war memorial, in front of the 12th-century Norman church of St Andrews. The house has been lovingly restored and retains many original features.
The large living room and dining area, with its 16th-century ceiling beams, are great for a family gathering, or a cosy night in beside the wood burner. There is a small part-covered, shady, internal courtyard room with a flagstone floor, fountain, window seat and small outdoor table and chairs.
All 4 double bedrooms have either cupboard or hanging rack space for clothes/storage. The second floor bedroom runs the length of the cottage and has huge, original 16th-century A-frame roof beams and three, heritage Velux-style windows. Jalna is the perfect coastal holiday choice close to the Victorian seaside town of Bude with its glorious sandy beaches and breath-taking South West coastal path scenery. It is the ideal escape venue in which to spend time with friends and family.
Bude is incredibly popular all year round, with its castle heritage centre, a vibrant town centre and an array of restaurants and bars, together with two sandy beaches and the nearby coastal path. It retains its Victorian charm whilst offering something for everyone. The food scene around Stratton and Bude has really taken off. There are regular food markets and artisan pop-ups in addition to the array of restaurants, bakeries and wine merchants.

The charming market town of Skipton, also 20 minutes away, is home to an ancient castle, cobbled high street and colourful street market. Leeds city centre can be reached in just 20 minutes from the local train station where you can enjoy luxury shopping and sip rooftop cocktails at Harvey Nichols. Haworth village, once home to the Brontë Sisters, is another major tourist attraction in the area and can be reached in around a 30-minute drive. York can be reached in an hour and for those looking further afield, the Lake District National Park is within a 2 hour drive.
